The ability to solve mathematical problems plays an important role in the learning process mathematics, but students at SMP Negeri 12 Padang showed a low level of mathematical problem-solving skills. This study aims to compare the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students taught using the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model with those taught using conventional learning model. The research involved all grade VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang and employed a quasi-experimental method with a Posttest Olnly Control Group Design. The instruments used were quizzes and final tests assessing mathematical problem solving skill. Temuan analysis revealed a P-value of 0,008 with a significance level of 0,05, indicating if P-value , then to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Therefore, it can be concluded that students who learned using the SSCS model exhibited better mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to those who learned through conventional learning model.
