Understanding concepts is crucial for students so they can handle more complex mathematical problemsStudents in the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 27 Padang, however, have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. One useful cooperative learning model is Think Talk Write (TTW). This study employed descriptive research and quasi-experimental research (Quasy experiment) using a control group design that was nonequivalent posttest only. The population consists of eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 27 Padang during the 2024–2025 school year. The sample procedure was conducted using simple random sampling. Class VIII.1 served as the experimental group, while Class VIII.5 served as the control. Final exams and quizzes measuring comprehension of mathematical concepts served as the research tools. According to the quiz data analysis results, each indicator demonstrated the growth of mathematical concept knowledge during the use of the TTW cooperative learning paradigm. P-value = 0.00, which indicates that P-value < α, indicates that H0 should be rejected based on the findings of hypothesis testing with a real level of 0.05. This demonstrates that students who use the TTW model outperform those who use conventional models in their comprehension of mathematical ideas. Therefore, it can be said that the TTW paradigm influences how eighth-grade pupils at SMP Negeri 27 Padang comprehend mathematical concepts.
